After the explosion, Ted had to rethink his life. He stepped out of a lucrative tech career into a world of fiction. More than a decade later, he’s still toying with the ways we can experience truth in stories which are not. In 2014, Ted started Soul Catalyst Films. He and the team would rather ask questions than give answers. Their work often originates in a look at the timeless, human stories of the bible, and how those struggles repeat in our modern world.
His debut novel, What You Meant for Evil was a pandemic project in 2020. While it’s the first novel Ted has sought to publish, he’d actually written several previous novels — and an earlier draft of What You Meant for Evil for NaNoWriMo back in 2018. The book in it’s current form contains some of the same plot points but is a complete rewrite.
Since 2020, Ted’s been hammering away on Legends & Demons, a two volume novel with knights, fair maidens, special forces operators, wild new technology, and, of course, a wizard of dubious intent.
